Featured product families

Nano MgO Additives

MGC, MGP and MGH are core families in Cestoil’s nano magnesium portfolio. Their formulation chemistry provides different options for fuel compatibility and application requirements.

MGC

Carboxylate-based Nano MgO

Nano magnesium oxide formulated with carboxylic-acid derivatives and dispersants. Selected grades are used in vanadium-control programs for gas turbines and crude- or heavy-fuel-oil-fired boilers.

MGP

Polymer-formulated Nano MgO

Nano magnesium oxide formulated with polymeric resins. Grade selection considers compatibility with the fuel, the delivery system and the intended turbine or boiler application.

MGH

Nano magnesium hydroxide

Nano magnesium hydroxide formulations, including oil-compatible and aqueous options. Choose the grade around the fuel and water phases, injection arrangement and equipment requirements.

MGC and MGP are MgO-based; MGH uses magnesium hydroxide, Mg(OH)₂. MGH is part of the wider nano magnesium offering and should be selected on its own formulation and application requirements.

Match the chemistry to the equipment

Magnesium treatment is selected around the fuel’s vanadium and other relevant constituents, the equipment and the operating objective. Product form, compatibility and reliable delivery are as important to selection as the active chemistry.

Gas-turbine hot-section corrosion, boiler fireside deposits and cold-end corrosion are distinct applications. A treatment program should establish which problem is being addressed and how its response will be monitored.

Selection begins with fuel analysis

Review the fuel and delivery system with Cestoil’s technical team to identify a suitable family and grade. Different products within a series can have different concentrations, handling properties and application requirements.

  • Fuel vanadium, sodium, sulfur and other relevant analyses
  • Turbine, boiler or heater type and manufacturer requirements
  • Fuel compatibility, water content and existing additives
  • Storage temperature, mixing and metering arrangements
  • Deposit observations, corrosion history and the evaluation objective

Additional metal-based options

The wider portfolio includes other magnesium-based formulations, including sulfonate chemistry, for application-specific evaluation. Selection should follow the fuel and equipment requirements rather than treating all metal-based additives as interchangeable.

Evaluate the treatment in service

Establish the selected grade, treatment rate and injection arrangement for the operating site. Review deposits, corrosion observations and equipment performance together with fuel composition, load and treatment consumption.

Grade-specific technical data and any equipment-related qualification should be reviewed for the proposed application. Contact Cestoil for the current Product Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet for the selected formulation.
