The application challenge
Nickel deposited on FCC catalyst can promote unwanted dehydrogenation reactions. Additional hydrogen can place demand on wet gas compression, while coke formation affects the unit’s operating balance.
The product’s role
NP6200 is used as part of a nickel passivation program. Its role is to reduce the influence of nickel on the circulating catalyst and support the unit’s selectivity objectives.
Review the product against the actual feed metals burden, catalyst inventory, injection arrangement and operating constraints. Treatment response should be assessed alongside changes in feed and operating severity.
Plan an application evaluation
Establish a baseline covering feed and catalyst metals, hydrogen and gas trends, coke indicators and the operating limitation being addressed. Review the injection point and equipment compatibility with the site team.
A field evaluation should compare suitable operating periods and record changes in feed and unit conditions alongside treatment response.
