Diesel cold flow improvers
Northshore CF16, CF20 and CF40 are cold flow improvers for diesel and other middle distillates. They support seasonal fuel blending, storage and distribution where low-temperature filterability and flow matter.

The application challenge
Paraffin crystals that develop as fuel cools can restrict flow and filterability. Cold flow additive response depends on the base fuel and blend composition, so selection starts with representative fuel samples and the required seasonal performance.
The product’s role
CF16, CF20 and CF40 act on paraffin crystal growth. Selecting among the grades considers fuel response as well as the site’s additive handling arrangements.
CF16 and CF20 are viscous liquids. CF40 is supplied as a highly viscous liquid to solid. The handling distinction helps plan storage and transfer; the grade numbers do not represent winter performance ratings.
Plan an application evaluation
Review the fuel blend, biodiesel content where applicable, cloud point, current cold filter plugging point and seasonal target. Screen candidate grades in the actual finished blend.
Confirm the blending sequence and injection conditions. Addition while the fuel is above its cloud point is part of the documented application guidance.
