The application challenge
Fuel lubricity needs to be managed against the finished-fuel requirement and the needs of fuel injection equipment. Refineries and terminals need a measured treatment response in their own fuel and additive package.
The product’s role
COLI9510 provides a TOFA-based option within Cestoil’s diesel lubricity range. This liquid product is positioned for fuel lubricity treatment in refinery and terminal blending programs.
COLI9510 is a fuel additive, distinct from general-purpose tall oil fatty acid feedstocks used in industrial synthesis. Its fuel application documentation provides the basis for selection.
Plan an application evaluation
Provide the fuel description, untreated lubricity result, finished-fuel target, existing additives and proposed injection point. HFRR and SLBOCLE are documented methods for assessing lubricity response.
Compare untreated and treated fuel and review package compatibility and handling arrangements. This product is not intended for aviation fuels.
