Define the evaluation
Feedstock characteristics, operating conditions and the target result determine what needs to be tested. This keeps the evaluation relevant to the customer's process or formulation.
Established in Canada in 2008, Cestoil Chemical Inc. is headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario, with specialty chemical manufacturing in Courtice.
We develop, manufacture and support chemical products for energy, materials and data center applications. Our work connects formulation and laboratory evaluation with production and practical application support.

Our Courtice site provides specialty chemical manufacturing and high-precision distillation capability, with an annual production capacity of 10,000 metric tonnes.

Specialty chemistry starts with the conditions in which a product must work: the feedstock, process, operating limits and performance target.
We work with engineers, formulators and technical procurement teams to define those requirements, select suitable chemistry and agree how performance should be evaluated. Experience in fuel treatment, refining and petrochemical operations informs this approach across our portfolio.
Laboratory work helps connect chemical properties with an intended use. Our laboratory facilities have expanded and been upgraded as our work has developed.

Feedstock characteristics, operating conditions and the target result determine what needs to be tested. This keeps the evaluation relevant to the customer's process or formulation.
Formulation work considers compatibility, stability and performance under the selected conditions. Results help guide product selection and the next stage of application testing.
Raw materials, process conditions and product quality are considered as the work moves from laboratory evaluation toward manufacturing and supply.
Effective treatment depends on how a chemical is introduced, the conditions it encounters and how results are reviewed. Our technical discussions address the application alongside the product.

We help customers consider product selection, treatment method, injection arrangements and evaluation criteria. The Cestoil injection skid shown here illustrates the equipment side of chemical application.
Operating observations provide the basis for reviewing treatment. Changes in feedstock, refinery crude slates or throughput may call for a reassessment of the chemical feed rate and treatment conditions.
Performance is reviewed against the agreed objective and operating context. A useful evaluation connects the observed result with the treatment applied and the conditions recorded.
Our portfolio brings together established process chemistry and newer application areas. Each category provides a starting point for the relevant product families and technical discussion.
